This is a solid documentary with a cast of engaging and enduring characters from across the country, in towns big and small, that introduces its audience to the new wave of American ingenuity in the field of low-carbon economy.

The film takes its viewer on a journey to China where the CO2 level is high affecting humanity with global warming and agriculture versus the U.S. big boom in Wind Farms (turbines) encouraged by the Wind Development Corporation.  As the U.S. suffers in a bad economy, wind farms serve as a steady income for falling farmers to lease the property thus installing turbines to generate electricity.

Narrated by Bill Kurtis, the cast includes: Richard Branson (CEO, Virgin Group), Thomas L. Friedman (The NY Times), former CIA Director James Woolsey, Van Jones (founder of Green For All), Col. Dan Nolan (U.S. Army, Ret.), Bernie Kari (Geothermal pioneer from Alaska), Denis Hayes (founder of Earth Day), Cliff Etheredge (West Texas wind pioneer), and more climate change pioneers.  Countries such as, Japan and Germany thrive as the biggest in this system in the world using solar energy.  Thus making "going green" a lucritive business.

Carbon Nation is an optimistic, solutions-based, non-partisan documentary that illustrates why it's incredibly smart to be part of the new, low-carbon economy.  The film is very impressive as it convinces the audience that it's good business while it emboldens national and energy security.  Ultimately, it improves health and environment.

This is a climate change solutions movie I enjoyed.
